1. Step1: 6-12 months (results in 3-4 weeks)
2. Step2 CK: 3-6 months (results in 3-4 weeks)
3. Step2 CS:  (results in 2-4 months)

• USCE
1. Hands on:
- Clerkships
- Externships
- Sub-internships
2. Hands off:
- Observerships
- Research
• You can not do clerkships or externships after you graduate!!
• Research isn't really required for residency but it is for fellowships.
• An IMG should aim for 3-6 months of USCE
• At least 3 LORs. Try to obtain them from US rotations.
• Match - NRMP
1. September- Application submission (Make sure you have everything including your ECFMG certification.)
2. ERAD (the place you submit)
3. The dedicated interviews are conducted from october to starting of february
4. End of feb. you give your rank order list. (The hospitals you interviewed)
5. 3. week of march, MATCH.
6. July, residency.
  
11 MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS FOR MATCH

1. Scores. 4.2
2. LORs 4.1 (don't hesitate to ask for lors but don't ask too early. Submit the application in sept, you can start requesting it mid july. Stay in touch with them)
3. MSPE. 4. Med Student Performance Evaluation, 26% of programs wait for the release of MSPE to offer interviews, they are more likely competitive) / Dean's Letter!!
4. Personal statement. 3.8  (search for it!)
5. Interviews / Interpersonal Skills. Don't be humble, don't undersell yourself but also don't be narsissistic. --FREIDA
6. Year of Graduation, under 3 years is ideal
7. Clinical Rotations.  (LORs, meet higher doctors and research opportunities, networking) Contacts!
8. Location??
9. CV. (Work, volunteer, research experience)(research has a lot more value for university programs but clinical rotations have more value for community hospitals.)
